14 Congress MLAs were suspended from the Odisha assembly

Congress Party to protest at Odisha Assembly. The BJP central leadership cracked the whip on rebels as it expelled Karnataka MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal for six years for his alleged anti-party activities.
14 Congress MLAs were suspended from the Odisha assembly for a week on Tuesday for disrupting proceedings. Speaker Surama Padhy announced the suspension. Next day, Tara Prasad Bahinipati and Ramesh Jena was also included. who were not present during the post-lunch session.

Both Congress and BJD alleged that the BJP-led state government’s action was retaliatory, linking it to the recent suspension of 18 BJP MLAs in Congress-governed Karnataka. They claimed the move was politically motivated rather than a disciplinary measure. As per the Odisha Assembly News, BJD MLAs walk out of assembly session, demand speakers statement on Congress MLAs’ suspension. And also BJD MLAs had forcefully opened the east gate of assembly. And suspended Congress MLAs were in clash with Police as they try to enter into the Vidhan Sabha premises.
