During World Environment Week celebrations, Annada and CIRTD Sundargarh organized a meaningful event to raise awareness about environmental issues, with a specific focus on plastic pollution. The event brought together women, children, and professionals from various fields, showcasing diverse perspectives and voices.

The impact of plastic pollution on the environment and human health. Strategies for reducing plastic use and promoting sustainable alternatives. The role of individuals, communities, and organizations in mitigating plastic pollution. Innovative solutions and technologies for managing plastic waste. Ways to promote behavioral change and encourage community engagement.
The event also promoted the “Bring Your Own Bag” movement in solidarity with the” Say No to Plastic Bag” initiative.
This programme was coordinated by Ruchimitra Jagadev Mohapatra, founder of Annada, and the entire team, including Archana Das , Sasmita Sahoo, Saswati and other social enthusiasts, for their efforts in organizing this event. The participation of school children, community people from Makuban, Puri, and other stakeholders was also commendable.
