“Dana Pani” Staged by Rang Sangam.
The state-level theatre festival “Rang Sangam” witnessed the staging of the play “Dana Pani” on its second evening. Based on the novel Dana Pani by Gopinath Mohanty, the play attracted a large audience at the Bhanja Kala Mandap.
The drama masterfully captured the relentless struggle and unwavering determination with which individuals strive to secure their basic necessities throughout their lives.
The theatrical adaptation of the novel was done by Shri Harihar Mishra, while Shri Ravinarayan Tripathi directed the play. Artists from Puri’s Theatre Designers, brought various characters to life with their remarkable performances.
It is noteworthy that the state-level theatre festival “Rang Sangam” is being organized by the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar.
The plays, inspired by Odisha’s rich literary culture, have mesmerized the audience with their profound storytelling and artistic excellence.
