Based on input and Joint operation involving 23 teams 20 SOG, 2 CRPF, 1 BSF were launched in Chakapad PS area of Kandhamal district and bordering areas of Ganjam district in Rambha forest range.
There was multiple exchange of fire in the morning on 25.12.2025 with teams of SOG in multiple places. After search of the area, 4 dead bodies of maoists in uniform (2 males and 2 female) and 2 INSAS rifles and one 303 rifle have been recovered. One dead maoist has been identified as Ganesh Uike,
Central Committee Member and he was head of naxal outfit in Odisha. Identity of other 3 yet to be established. Further search operation is going on. Ganesh Uike age 69,
