Utkal Alumina organises the 9th edition of “Ama Nrutya, Ama Sanskruti” with a Grand Cultural show

 

Utkal Alumina, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla group, successfully hosted the 9th edition of its cultural event, “Ama Nrutya, Ama Sanskruti”, at its township premises in Nuapada, Tikiri. The two-day festival showcased vibrant performances that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the region.First day the event was inaugurated by Akshaya Kumar Khemundu, Chief Development Officer of Rayagada district along with Ravi Narayan Mishra, Unit Head.
Shri Khemundu has praised the Utkal Alumina for providing a platform to local talent. He delivered upon the cultural significance of the undivided Koraput region. He has also encouraged efforts to promote native traditions.
The festival has brought traditional dance troupes from 20 villages. They have performed folk and tribal dances. In this competition segment of the event, Gokulumunda village was in first place, Mouiliguda in second place and Bagrizhola in third place. These top three teams have performed again on the final evening and felicitated by dignitaries.
The closing ceremony was attended by Shri Nihar Ranjan Kahar, Additional District Magistrate of Rayagada, and Shri Biranchi Charan Patra, Additional Superintendent of Police. They have highly praised Utkal Alumina for its commitment to preserving local culture.

The best part of the event was traditional dances from across India. The performances from Mizoram, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu have captivated the audience. The Event was organized under the leadership of Ms. Lopamudra Mishra, Head of CSR, and among other key dignitaries Dr. Bibhudatta Mahapatra, Regional Head of Corporate Communications, Bijay Kumura, Functional Head of Human Resources, Pitambar Behera and Head of Public Relations and Liaison were present. Their presence has also highlighted the company’s dedication to social and cultural initiatives.
